Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Refeed iOS app and the refeed.co website (together, the “Services”), operated by Refeed (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. The Services

Refeed helps you keep a record of places you visit using your photos, notes, and ratings, and lets you publish selected visits to a public profile that others can view and that you can share via links. The Services are provided for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

You sign in to Refeed with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Keep your Apple ID secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at support@refeed.co. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account); deletion is permanent.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the photos, notes, and other content you add to the Services (“Your Content”). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display it solely to operate and provide the Services — for example, storing your photos, generating resized versions, and displaying visits you choose to publish. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for residual copies in backups that are purged on a regular schedule.

You are responsible for Your Content. You represent that you have the necessary rights to it and that it does not violate the law or the rights of others. Publishing a visit makes its content publicly visible; be thoughtful about publishing photos of other people or sensitive locations.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, hateful, pornographic, or that exploits or endangers minors
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other users' accounts, or our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services, including by circumventing rate limits or security measures
• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content or personal information from the Services without our permission
• Use the Services to send spam or unsolicited messages

We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Third-Party Services

The Services rely on third-party services, including Apple (Sign in with Apple), Google Maps and Google Places (maps and place data), Supabase (data hosting), Cloudflare (image storage and delivery), Sentry (crash reporting), and Vercel (website hosting). Your use of Google Maps features is also subject to Google's Terms of Service. We are not responsible for third-party services or their content.

7. Intellectual Property

The Services, including their software, design, and branding, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for Your Content, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for personal use in accordance with these Terms.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Services. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends, and your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content (including place data derived from photos or third-party map services) will be accurate. Keep your own copies of your photos; the Services are not a backup service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose or fifty US dollars (US$50).

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice in the app. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
